It’s a rare opportunity to explore hidden heritage and uncover the stories that shape our communities. \n \n  \n  \nExplore Historic Records \nVisitors are invited to browse cemetery records dating from 1855 to the present day. \n  \n  \n  \nWhether you’re researching your family history or simply curious about the past\, you’ll have the chance to: \n\nTrace the interments of long-lost relatives\nExplore original records on display\nLearn more about the history of the cemetery\n\n  \nKnowledgeable volunteers will be on hand to assist with searches and help you locate specific graves.

DESCRIPTION:A gentle stroll exploring some of the earliest graves in the cemetery\, offering insight into its origins and history. \nAlong the way\, cemetery guide Colin will visit the resting places of individuals connected to the Lodge House\, as well as those who designed the chapel and shaped the layout of the cemetery. \nWe will stop at a number of significant graves\, uncovering the stories behind them as we go. \nMeet at the Chapel 10 minutes before the start of the walk. \nRefreshments will be available after the walk. \nThis walk is free but donations to the Friends are always welcome \nPlease note:  The cemetery ground is uneven\, so please wear sensible shoes.  When viewing memorials\, please do not lean on them.
