As well as helping to support conservation and restoration at the cemetery, Friends can enjoy :-

  • A quarterly Newsletter to keep you updated on our activities and events
  • Free entry to events.
  • Purchase our book ‘Bedford’s Victorian Cemetery’ at a reduced price

As a registered charity run entirely by volunteers, we are always delighted to welcome new members and volunteers who can spare some time and energy to support the work of The Friends.

There are many ways to get involved, whether you enjoy practical outdoor work, helping with events, or supporting the charity in other ways. Every contribution, big or small, helps us care for and preserve Foster Hill Road Cemetery.

Our volunteer working parties take place every Thursday throughout the year, from 9:00am to 12:00pm, and new volunteers are always welcome.

If you would like to join the Friends of Bedford Cemetery, you can either: Complete and submit the Membership Form below; or print out the form by  clicking here and returning the completed form to Foster Hill Road Cemetery, Foster Hill Road, Bedford MK41 7TD.  Payment can either by made by cheque; standing order or through your online banking to Sort Code 60-01-16,  Account No 45375666. Your cheque should be made payable to ‘The Friends of Bedford Cemetery’ and sent to us at Foster Hill Road Cemetery, Foster Hill Road, Bedford, MK41 7TD. The annual subscription is £10.00 per member.
